Description
This artwork deals with King David – the hero king who was also a great poet and author of the Book of Psalms – a book that is a poem of great faith.
In chapter 57, King David tells of himself directing his heart to sing to the Creator of the world and awakening his harp and lyre to be used in his melodies.
It’s said that King David used to sing and play at every free moment and even regret that he was forced to sleep and could not play.
King David used to hang his harp by the window so that the winds that began to blow in the middle of the night would detail its strings and awaken him, so that he could stop sleeping and start playing. King David wrote “I will awake the dawn” That is, when dawn rises, I will be awake for a long time and engage in singing, so I awake the dawn and not the dawn awakes me.
